With ag income growing tighter, producers are looking at cash flow alternatives. One of the growing categories is leasing out land for hunting.
Jim Jansen, a University of Nebraska-Lincoln extension ag educator, says they did a survey of ag land that is leased for hunting……

Jansen says they also asked about important features on hunting land….

Jansen says while most hunting leases don’t equate to income per acre, they did ask approximate income……

Jansen says there are still quite a number of acres that owners allow hunters to access for free.
