More Information Released in Yankton Death Investigation

The victim of the assault that took place Monday night in Yankton has been identified as 33-year-old Timber Rose Cournoyer.

Yankton Police Chief Jason Foote says 31-year-old Adrian Lund was arrested and charged with Murder in the Second Degree, Aggravated Assault Domestic, and Possession of Controlled Substance after the investigation into Timber’s death.
Officers were called to a home in the 700 block of Walnut Street late Monday night. Cournoyer was taken by ambulance to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital where she later died.

The Yankton Police Department was assisted by the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, and Yankton County EMS.
