More Information, Names Released in High Speed Crash on the East Side of Yankton

More information is being released about the crash that occurred during a high speed pursuit Wednesday.

Yankton County Sheriff Preston Crissey says they got a call from State Radio about a Highway Patrol pursuit…..

Crissey says they were waiting on the east edge of Yankton……..

Crissey says they have identified the two in the car that died…

Crissey says with the car headed into Yankton at that high speed they didn’t have a lot of time or alternatives.
He says the investigation into what led to the pursuit is still under investigation.

The two have criminal histories in Iowa. Ortega stole $142 in merchandise and a store employee’s vest at a Sioux City Wal-Mart last December 20th. Then on January 24th had domestic abuse 1st offense charges for shutting his then girlfriends’ arm in a door.
Anna Selwyn last Sept 17th bought $74 worth of food at Famous Dave’s BBQ ate some, put the rest in to go boxes and pd with a bad debit card. Then recently on April 30th she was stopped for no brake light, had no driver’s license or insurance, was under the influence and had 2.1 grams of meth on her. She fled on foot, but didn’t get far.
