It seems there has been a flurry of food safety warnings in recent weeks.  Dr. Kirk Smith with the Minnesota Department of Health says don’t look at the recalls as a bad thing, rather a sign food safety testing methods are improving

Smith says the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2011 is also factoring in.  He says it was the most sweeping food safety regulatory reforms seen in at least 70-years.
