More Education Options for Inmates at Mike Durfee State Prison

The job fair held this week at Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield is just part of the training and education that prisoners get as they begin the transition out of prison.

Monica Webking is the Workforce Development Instuctor at the prison and says they have programs to help inmates get caught up….

Webking says they help inmates find the training that best fits them…

Webking says more employers are interested in hiring former inmates..

Webking says about sixty percent of the twelve hundred fifty inmates at the Springfield facility are in some type of education or training program.
