More Charges Possible in Gear Up Investigation

As court cases are prepared for three people charged in the Gear Up inquiry, South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says the investigation is not done. He says the two sides are going through the legal motions…..

Mid Central Education Cooperative Director Dan Guericke faces six counts of falsification of evidence and conspiracy-related charges.

Former administrator Stacy Phelps also faces charges on falsification of evidence and conspiracy-related charges. Mid Central assistant business manager Stephanie Hubers faces grand theft charges, as well.
Jackley says more people and charges could be involved….

Those three made their initial court appearance late last month, and will be in Charles Mix County Court today.

The charges came out of the investigation into financial mismanagement at the Mid Central Educational Cooperative in Platte.
