The 2017 NSIC / Sanford Health Men’s Basketball Tournament bracket has been released as the 22-game regular season ended Saturday night.

MSU Moorhead (24-4, 19-3 NSIC) won the NSIC Overall and North Division Championships and will be the top seed in the north division.  Southwest Minnesota State (22-5, 17-5 NSIC) earned the No. 1 seed in the south division.

Upper Iowa earned the second seed in the south division after tying with Augustana at 16-6.  The two teams split during the regular season and both had 11-3 divisional records, but UIU’s sweep of SMSU gave them the tiebreaker.  In the north division, Minot State earned the fourth seed over U-Mary as the Beavers had a better divisional record than the Marauders.

The top four seeds in each division will host the 5-8 seeds from the opposite division on Wednesday, February 22.  The quarterfinals, semifinals and championship will take place on February 26-28 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
