The University of South Dakota’s leading scorer in men’s basketball last season will play elsewhere this coming season.

Matt Mooney has made it official in a twitter announcement that he will transfer to another school. He has not decided on which school that will be.

Mooney, who averaged some 19 points a game for the Coyotes, had earlier secured his release from the program while pondering whether he would actually leave USD.

He had come to Vermillion after initially attending the Air Force Academy. Mooney will be a graduate transfer and will be eligible to play immediately.
