Around 125 people attended a rally in Montevideo this week in support of a proposed veteran’s home that has been 11 years in the making.  Keynote speakers were Senator Andrew Lang (R-Olivia) and Representative Tim Miller (R-Prinsburg), who both continue to try and push the legislation through

 

Spokesman Marv Garbe says Montevideo and Bemidji are working together on this project, hoping to get 70 beds in each community.  Each VA home would employ around 80 people.
