MNsure Sees Record Enrollment

MNsure, the state’s health insurance marketplace, says a record 116-thousand-358 Minnesotans signed up for coverage during the open enrollment period just ended, breaking the previous year’s record of just under 115 thousand. C-E-O Allison O’Toole says that’s despite uncertainty at the federal level:

MNsure is attracting a larger share of Minnesotans who purchase health coverage on the individual market, even as that market shrinks significantly. The state Health Department reported last week total enrollment in the individual market in Minnesota is only about half of its peak of 309-thousand in 2015.
