The Minnesota State Senate Finance Committee has advanced a measure to extend the state’s farm loan mediation program. State Farm Bureau Public Policy Director Doug Busselman says his group backs the program and is pleased with the extension.

Busselman says with the downturn in the farm economy it’s important for farmers and ranchers to have access to the mediation program.

He’s optimistic the measure will get full Senate passage and the move to the House for consideration.
