Minnesota state legislators wrapped up their one week special session on Friday by passing a $46 billion budget. State Farm Bureau Associate Public Policy Director Cole Rupprecht says the tax bill is very beneficial for farmers and ranchers and will provide significant property tax relief.
He says an important provision in the tax bill is funding that will assist counties in dealing with implementation of the buffer law.
Rupprecht says the transportation funding bill is another win for agriculture.
Rupprecht says state lawmakers also passed funding for pollinator research at the University of Minnesota.
