The Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation has received a $2,000 grant from DuPont Pioneer and will use it for ag education. Foundation Executive Director Ruth Meirick says they’ll use it specifically to help educate deaf and hearing impaired students.
Meirick says they’ll also be partnering with a local dairy to help the deaf and hearing impaired students.
She says not only will they be working to help bring ag education to hearing impaired and deaf children but it also may lead to some career opportunities for them in ag related fields.
Meirick says in the future they hope to partner with other groups to expand their agricultural education programs.
