Minnesota lawmakers don’t return to St. Paul until March of next year but some agricultural groups have already mapped out their legislative priorities for the upcoming session. Minnesota Corn Grower’s Senior Public Policy Director Anna Boroff says their focus will be getting lawmakers to pass significant property tax relief.
She says her group also has concerns with the recently passed Buffer Zone Initiative, as well as transportation.
Boroff says there’s a lot to be worked out with the new Buffer Zone law as state agencies will be stepping up enforcement.
Boroff says it’ll be a shorter legislative session that focuses on bonding rather than budgeting.
