The Corps of Engineers is predicting a near record year for run off into the Missouri River basin.

Kevin Grode, reservoir regulation team lead for the Corps in Omaha, says run off so far this year is the second highest on record….

Grode says they are seeing much above average run off in many reaches of the river..

Grode says they expect those higher than normal flows to continue….

Current releases from Gavins Point Dam are running at eighty thousand cubic feet per second. The Corps expects to continue at that rate through November and may have to increase flows to move out more flood storage water.
