Rising waters have led to flood watches and warnings in eastern Nebraska. John Remus with the Corps of Engineers says the Missouri River from Omaha south will continue to rise.
Remus says there likely won’t be widespread flooding but the Missouri River will continue to run quite high until fall.
He says they have cut back on releases from Gavins Point Dam. The high water is due to heavy rain last week in South Dakota and Iowa.
