Minnesota citizens impacted by rising health insurance premium joined Governor Mark Dayton and other DFLers to call for immediate passage of a relief bill. Sheri Sexton is a farmer in Millville and says she and her husband are facing a $100,000 surgical bill and nearly 40-percent premium increases. Her sons have jobs with insurance benefits
Republicans want premium relief to be based on people’s income and they’re pushing for long-term health insurance reform. Dayton says he’s willing to work with them–once a more immediate relief package is signed into law.
