House Republicans’ transportation funding plan is moving forward at the Minnesota Legislature after clearing its first committee. North Mankato Democrat Clark Johnson says among other problems, 300 million dollars for the “Corridors of Commerce” program is not enough:
Hanska Republican Paul Torkelson says his bill is not perfect but does provide “substantial” funding for transportation. Democrats object it takes money from schools and human services, but Republicans oppose Democrats’ push for a gas tax increase.
