Preliminary numbers show there were 348 deaths on Minnesota roadways last year, the lowest total since 1943. DPS Traffic Safety Director Mike Hanson says the number follows a trend of fewer fatalities in the more recent past.
The deadliest month for fatalities was June last year with 41…the lowest number of deaths occurred in November with 18. So far there have been no reported fatalities in the first three days of the new year.
