Minnesota Supreme Court Will Decide on Gov Dayton Line-item Veto

It’s now up to the Minnesota Supreme Court after both sides made their cases in the lawsuit between Republican lawmakers and Governor Mark Dayton. The governor line-item vetoed funding for the legislature to force Republicans to undo newly-enacted tax cuts and other provisions.  Hamline University political analyst David Schultz says a decision may be closer to call than first anticipated

A lower court had already ruled Dayton’s veto as unconstitutional, and the governor appealed. It’s not clear when the Supreme Court will announce their final decision.
