Minnesota Students Top Nation on ACT College Entrance Exam

Minnesota students again topped the nation on the ACT college entrance exam, among 19 states where 90 percent or more students took the college entrance exam. Minnesota Education Commissioner Brenda Cassellius says starting in 2016 the state opened the test up to both juniors and seniors

The 2018 composite ACT score in Minnesota was 21.3 out of a possible 36. Students who took the exam two or more times had an average composite score of 23.7.
