Minnesota State Agriculture Commissioner Dave Frederickson thinks there will be a special session of the state legislature called to deal with unfinished business. Much of that involves agriculture. He says Governor Dayton wants some issues cleared up first and one of those could be decided today regarding the tax relief bill.

He says the Governor will have to make a decision on the tax bill today if he wants it addressed in a special session.

Frederickson says all of the ag groups are in favor of the tax relief bill that’s tied to bonding.

Frederickson says besides the tax bill, the two most important unfinished pieces of business that need to be dealt with in the special session include transportation and bonding legislation.
