Congress continues to work to pass another economic stimulus bill for COVID 19 relief. Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, member of the Senate Agriculture Committee says it’s critical provisions are in that legislation that help farmers and ranchers.

She says both parties are negotiating and meeting with Administration officials to come up with a workable compromise for a strong stimulus measure that can pass.

Klobuchar says after they get the stimulus legislation done, the next thing that needs to be done for agriculture is formulation of the new farm bill.

Klobuchar says another important area for agriculture is trade and getting USMCA implemented is a big win for the United States and also helpful for Canada and Mexico.
