Minnesota Sees Low in 2016 Fire Deaths

There were 36 fire fatalities in Minnesota in 2016. That’s the second lowest number since the state began compiling those statistics in 1970.

 

Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal Jim Smith is reminding Minnesotans to take fire prevention in their homes more seriously–and check to make sure their smoke alarms are working properly.
