Guerard says there was a 10-percent increase in new syphilis cases and a 28-percent increase in cases of gonorrhea. Chlamydia is still the most reported STD in Minnesota, with 23,528 in 2017. She’s urging people at high-risk of infection–including sexually active people and those who inject drugs–to get tested at least once per year.
