Minnesota On Track to Begin Offering REAL ID

The state of Minnesota is on track to begin offering REAL I-D-compliant driver’s licenses and identification cards starting October 1st.

MNIT (minute) Commissioner Johnanna Clyborne reassuring a legislative steering committee. Problems with the rollout of the Minnesota Licensing and Registration System or MNLARS in 2017 have state officials bracing for next week’s REAL ID rollout. Minnesotans can apply for REAL I-D starting next Monday but will have another two years to obtain one.
