Minnesota is on pace for record crops this year. University of Minnesota Economist Ed Usset says with the record high crop conditions for corn at 89 percent good to excellent, everything is pointing to a bumper crop.
Usset says the soybean crop is Minnesota could also nudge out the previous yield record.
He says just a couple more good rain events will finish off the bean crop, and it looks like those are in the forecast for the northwestern corn belt next week.
