24 Minnesotans were killed due to domestic violence last year. That’s according to the recently released 2017 Femicide Report. Becky Smith with the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women urges anyone who feels trapped in a violent relationship to take action
In 2017, at least 19 women were killed by a current or former husband, boyfriend or male intimate partner, and at least five were killed by friends, family members or bystanders. 12 children were left motherless due to domestic violence murders.
