A new report from the American Cancer Society shows Minnesota is not investing enough in tobacco prevention and cessation. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) recommends the state invest 53-million-dollars a year. It’s estimated that smoking takes the lives of more than 6,300 Minnesotans every year and costs more than seven-billion in health and lost productivity costs.
