Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has included sixteen million dollars for construction of the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System in his bonding proposal he has given to the legislature.
Lewis & Clark Executive Director Troy Larson says it continues a trend they have seen in the past few years…..
Larson says they may get more federal funding this year to offset those Minnesota dollars…..
Larson says they plan to extend water lines already in Minnesota…
Larson says if the funding comes through this year, they could have water to Worthington by late next year.
The project is about sixty percent complete, and continues to build out service to towns and cities in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota.
