Minnesota Milk Executive Pleased House Working On Immigration Reform

House Republicans are trying to move a pair of immigration reform measures sometime next week. Minnesota Milk Producers Association Executive Director Lucas Sjostrom says it’s positive the legislators are looking at providing a path to legal status for immigrant workers and not citizenship.

He’s encourage House Speaker Paul Ryan is pushing House members to advance some type of immigration fix.

Sjostrom says without a fix to the immigration problem, it will lead to less workers which costs the overall economy in the long run.

The measures House Republicans are looking at include not only the path to legal status but not citizenship for immigrant workers but also a citizenship pathway for young immigrants.
