Minnesota Legislature Passes Bird Flu Relief

The Minnesota state legislature passed a relief bill on Thursday of around one million dollars to assist with the recovery of the Highly Pathogen Avian Influenza.  Minnesota has reported 21 cases in 12 counties with nearly one million birds affected.  Minnesota Farm Bureau President Dan Glessing says its the right move for Minnesota’s poultry industry.

The Minnesota Farm Bureau president says the bird flu needs to be dealt with rapidly in order to prevent, or slow down, the spread of the outbreak.
