Grove City Republican Dean Urdahl, who chairs the House Capital Investment Committee, says he has the outline of a bonding bill but is waiting for the go-ahead from House leaders before releasing details. Governor Dayton has proposed a 1.5-billion-dollar bonding bill. Senate Republicans’ plan is reportedly just under one billion dollars, but Urdahl says his bill will be smaller, perhaps around 800 million dollars. The legislature generally passes bonding bills in even-numbered years, but a 2016 measure failed in the closing moments of the legislative session.
