Minnesota state lawmakers were able to wrap up their 2016 session by passing a property tax relief measure. The tax cut is $259 million for this budget year. Minnesota Farm Bureau Public Policy Director Doug Busselman says his group is pleased that agreement was reached to pass the needed tax relief bill.
He says the tax relief was significant for farmers and ranchers.
Busselman says the relief has been needed and this year’s passage is a good start at addressing the problem, which has been growing.
Busselman is also hopeful Governor Dayton will sign the final legislation.
