Minnesota Lawmakers Hear Problems with New Vehicle Licensing System

Minnesota lawmakers heard about continued backlogs, inaccurate data, lost revenue and other problems with the state’s new vehicle licensing and registration system during State Capitol hearings Monday afternoon.  Driver and Vehicle Services Director Dawn Olson was asked how many “work-arounds” deputy registrars have to use because of what state officials say are temporary problems with new software

 

…Hanska Representative Paul Torkelson.  State Public Safety Commissioner Ramona Dohman apologized to lawmakers and the people of Minnesota saying, “We’ll do better.”
