Minnesota State Representative Rod Hamilton of Mountain Lake is the new chairman of the House Ag and Finance Committee. Hamilton says one of his main priorities is getting the state to invest in a wide range of infrastructure projects.
Hamilton says he’s hoping for common ground with DFL House and Senate members and the Governor in finding more property tax relief, especially for the state’s farmers and ranchers.
Hamilton says he also wants the state to invest in getting more young people involved in agriculture and wants help for schools and particularly support for ag education.
