The Minnesota Health Department has confirmed four cases of West Nile virus in Minnesota. All four cases were discovered in people who were donating blood and tested positive for the virus when screened
Epidemiologist Elizabeth Schiffman says people who do experience symptoms usually are feverish and may experience body aches or a rash. The mosquito-borne virus can be serious, especially for elderly people. Last year, there were 30 reported cases of West Nile virus in Minnesota.
