Walz spoke at Farmfest and says while they failed to pass an infrastructure bill with the needed funding. So, that is on the priority list for next year for his administration and the state’s farm groups.

The state of the farm economy was addressed with a House Ag Committee listening session at Farmfest. Walz says he is concerned about losing more farmers with the ongoing trade war and tough crop season.

Walz says mental health and health care are still a problem for farmers in his state and they need to find a solution.

Walz says he is also working with neighboring governors on a plan for African Swine Fever is case it gets into the U.S. herd.
