Minnesota Feedlot Study Looks At Fertilizer Value

A study funded by a grant provided by the Minnesota Corn Grower’s Association is looking at how fertilizer value is effected by feedlot facility types. University of Minnesota Extension feedlot specialist Nicole Kenny Rambo says the study looked at three different types of facilities and how much value each of them provided to fertilizer.
Rambo says by doing the study they were hoping to bring actual numbers that farmers could share with their lenders before proceeding with feedlot construction.
Field demonstrations were held this week in Lamberton and Rosemont Minnesota to share the study information and demonstrate how producers can get the best value out of their fertilizer.
