The latest report shows there were 74 fatal work injuries in Minnesota last year–an increase from 62 the year before. And of particular concern to officials

State Labor and Industry Commissioner Ken Peterson says Minnesota’s fatal injury rate in 2015 was 2.7 deaths per 100,000 full-time-equivalent workers. Men were the victims in 60 of the 74 who died in accidents. And the number of female workers fatally injured–14–was the highest number in Minnesota since the inception of the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries count began in 1992.
