Minnesota lawmakers are working toward their deadline of wrapping up their 2014 session on Monday. This week legislators are working on several funding and supplemental appropriation measures. Minnesota Farmers Union’s Director of Government Relations Thom Petersen says there are several ag provisions up for consideration.
Petersen says if the industrial hemp measure passes it will begin the process of moving that facet of the ag industry forward.
He says the financing legislation will provide some help for agriculture but it won’t be a large amount of money.
Petersen says legislators can meet on Monday but won’t be able to pass any more bills.
