Minnesota Farmers Union members gather in Minneapolis starting Friday for their annual convention. President Gary Wertish says their keynote speaker will be talking to the delegates about trade.

He says earlier this year their members put together several state and federal policy issues that will be ironed out and finalized at the convention.

Wertish says one of the major issues members will discuss is the rising cost of health care and how they want policy makers to address the problem

The convention runs through Sunday.
