Minnesota Farmers Union leaders, including President Doug Peterson, met with EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy. He says the EPA Chief told him her hands have been tied by Congress with any attempts to raise the volume limits in the Renewable Fuel Standard.

Peterson says McCarthy shares his group’s support of biofuels and their positive effect on the environment.

Peterson says the EPA Administrator did not commit on when her agency will be releasing RFS volume requirements.
