Minnesota Farmers Ready for Possible Avian Influenza

Recent reports of Avian influenza being detected in a chicken flock in Tennessee and turkey flock in neighboring Wisconsin have some Minnesota poultry farmers on edge.  Dr. Shauna Voss with the state Board of Animal Health says spring and fall migration are high-risk periods for Avian influenza

 

The latest two cases reported are different strains of the virus than the one that devastated poultry two years ago in Minnesota and other states.
