Recently St. James, Minnesota farmer Harold Wolle welcomed a trade team from Taiwan to his farming operation. The group was brought to Minnesota by the U.S. Grains Council. Wolle says most of the team members were young pork producers..

He says the group was more interested in technology and economics than they were in farm machinery displayed at the farm.

Wolle who serves as First Vice President of the Minnesota Corn Growers Association says Taiwan is an important customer of both corn and dried distillers grains.

Prior to visiting Wolle’s farm, the Taiwan group attended World Pork Expo in Des Moines and visited a corn farm and ethanol facility in Iowa.
