Delegates at the U.S. Grains Council summer meeting have elected Minnesota farmer Chad Willis as chairman of their Board of Directors. He says one of his primary goals is increasing export opportunities for America’s farmers.

He says the Grains Council must continue to build on value added markets for ethanol and dried distillers grains.

Willis adds it’s also critical to follow through on new and existing trade agreements and make sure MAP and FMD programs are properly funded at the USDA.

Joining Willis on USGC’s officer team Joshua Miller of the Indiana Corn Marketing Council as Vice Chairman and Brent Boydston of Bayer Crop Science as Secretary-Treasurer.
