Minnesota Farm Leader Says Russian Ban Hurts Everyone

Russia’s ban on ag products from several countries including the United States for a year will have negative impacts on producers and consumers. Minnesota Farm Bureau President Kevin Paap says every sector of U.S. agriculture will be hurt including many producers in Minnesota.
Paap says this ban will be felt deeply by Russia’s consumers.
The United States exported $ 1.3 billion worth of ag products to Russia last year while the European Union which is included in this recent ban shipped to Russia ag products totaling $ 15.8 billion.
