Minnesota Farm Group Passes Policy Calling For Addressing Of Health Care Costs

At their recent convention Minnesota Farmers Union members passed a special order of business calling for resolution to the cost of health care. President Gary Wertish says farmers and ranchers are in a very difficult position dealing with those insurance costs while the ag economy is tanking.

He says elected officials need to quit playing politics with health care and come up with some viable solutions.

Wertish says the cost of health care is unsustainable and Congress needs to come together and compromise with a workable plan.

Wertish says politicians need to stop campaigning on health care where they don’t come up with any possible fixes.
