Minnesota Farm Bureau Working On State Legislative Priorites

Repeal of a sales business tax on farm machinery and repair is the major goal of the Minnesota Farm Bureau during this year’s state legislative session.

Farm Bureau’s Director of Public Policy Doug Busselman says that measure appeared last session and if left in place would be costly for farmers and ranchers.

Busselman says another of their state legislative goals is retaining Minnesota’s Biodiesel blend program at the B-10 level and protecting against possible negative effects from an increase in the minimum wage.

Busselman says it’s been a busy session so far that just got underway last week in St. Paul.
