The Minnesota Farm Bureau is tracking bills being heard in the State Legislature on taxes and biofuels. Farm Bureau Public Policy Director Amber Hanson Glaeser says the first measure they’re monitoring is tax conformity related to paycheck protection loans.
She says later this week they’ll be testifying in committee about capital gains taxes and how they impact agriculture.
Glaeser says they’ll also be watching what happens with biofuels legislation and increasing the blend rates.
Glaeser says advancing biofuels is important for the ag economy at both the state and national levels as well as it’s positive effect on the environment and climate change.
